🎓 What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The DAAD supports two main options: Fully Funded DAAD Scholarship
- A full Master’s degree at a state-recognized university in Germany (up to 2 years).
- A one-year academic exchange as part of your Master’s degree from your home country — as long as your home university recognizes the credits.
Important: The scholarship doesn’t support Master’s programs you’ve already started in Germany.
⏳ Duration of Funding
- The scholarship typically lasts 10 to 24 months, depending on your program’s length.
- If you apply for a 2-year program, you must request funding for the full 2 years.
- Continued funding after the first year depends on your academic performance.
Most scholarships begin on October 1st. If you’re taking a German language course first, your funding may start earlier.
💰 What You’ll Receive: Fully Funded DAAD Scholarship
- Monthly stipend of €992
- Health, accident, and personal liability insurance
- Travel allowance
- Annual study allowance of €460
You may also qualify for extra support, such as:
